Literally down to the very last horse and rider and the very last jump…..that was the finale of the eventing at Tryon. Ingrid Klimke and Hale Bob had it down to hand individual victory to Rosalind Canter and All Star B.

Team Gold went to the Brits and Tom was a massive part of that team.  The whole team have worked so hard to get here and it was a great result which was hugely deserved.

While having an extra day off might have helped some of the horse Tom didn’t think it helped Toldeo de Kerser at all!  Toledo is probably getting a bit stir crazy with not even any hand grazing to amuse him and once you have been here for a while you realise it is a very compact venue.

I don’t think Toledo has had a rail since Rockingham CIC 2 star so we were all shocked when he dropped one!  He still did enough to clinch the gold along with the rest of the guys and they gained victory over Ireland and France with a rail in hand.

It is quite something to win the World Championships at your first go and Tom had his family here to be a part of that as well. Toledo is quite an amazing athlete and he has finished sound and happy and he will be heading out for a well deserved holiday when he finishes the trip home.  The horses leave on Tuesday morning and they will be back in the UK by Wednesday afternoon so it will not be long before Toledo can finally get some proper green grass again!
