Well here we go…. its the end of the  2019 evening season and Tom has ticked the ultimate box and won the 5* at Pau.

Figaro van het Broekxhof ( Fig) played his part this afternoon by jumping an immaculate clear round and giving Tim the confidence and the experience of jumping in the ring before he went in as last to go.  Fig has stepped up to 5 star level this season with aplomb and is proving to be a valued member of the team as he keeps ticking the boxes of being a solid team member.

Winning a 5* is not just about a win, it is a career highlight, a super special moment and a magical thing that eludes may of the great riders of any era.  It is beyond special but to do it in the way that Tom and Toledo did it today is beyond incredible. They won by over 8 points which is unheard of these days and winning with a double clear is the uber way to win.

Tom and Toledo jumped their usual immaculate clear looking like they were not  going to so much as breath on a pole.  It was a superb clear round and stamped their authority all over the win.  It has been a win that has been a while coming but now it is emphatically here and it begins the road to Tokyo for the whole team.

It has been an amazing season for the entire crew with so many triumphs and there have been many thousands of miles travelled. It has, as always, been a rollercoaster ride and we will keep you posted with the winter developments but for now we leave you with the thought…

All roads lead to Tokyo.
